    Hi,

I left this question on the Google groups forum, but I thought I’d ask this directly too — do you know if you can test a lead generation campaign versus a page that asks for the sale right away?

Basically I want to test this page http://www.mobalrental.com/gsm/handsets.asp as it is versus the same page but with a sign up form for a free guide and email follow ups.

Because my second version will be encouraging people the leave the site before they purchase, will GWO recognize them if they return as originally signing up for the guide, or will they be counted as a new visitor again?

I know my lead gen campaign has a much higher conversion rate than the landing page alone, but I want to prove it!

    Thanks if you can help!

    Hi Machael,

GWO used to have a 30 minute session cookie but they changed it a while back to a 2 year cookie (if I remember correctly).

In other words - if they come back later and make a purchase GWO will still remember the first visit and attribute the conversion to the version they first saw.

    Sorry for the delayed response.
