Great new metric. If only I could get it to show up! I am not a technical person, so please don’t reply as if I were an engineer/coder. I have downloaded both GreaseMonkey and GARE and my GA regional reports remain unchanged. How do I get GARE to take effect? Step-by-step instructions would be great. Thanks much!
]]>I was concerned that showing an index would be to abstract for some people. For example:
Ohio has a state index of 1.4323
California has a state index of 0.97312
Some people would then ask: What does that mean?
I like to think of State Popularity as this:
If every state had the same population (in numbers) how many visits would we get?
Regarding doing this for non US countries:
Technically, the framework is in place, so I’m guessing it should be very difficult - but Jeremy would be the person to ask.
You should comment on his blog posting about it:

]]>Also, to extend this, have you considered doing this on a per country basis for us non-US folks? World stats (internet penetration is probably best) are available from: http://www.internetworldstats.com/
Great idea guys
